The Maker
Hi, I’m Claire.
I’m Claire, founder of Seabow Skin. My approach to skincare was shaped long before this brand existed. I grew up as a competitive swimmer, spending years immersed in chlorinated water — an environment that gradually disrupted the natural balance of my skin and hair. For a long time, I searched for solutions in products that promised quality, yet consistently fell short.
What I discovered was a disconnect between what was being marketed and what was truly beneficial. Ingredient lists were often complex, unfamiliar, and, in my experience, counterproductive. That realization led me to step away from conventional products entirely and begin creating my own.
Through my own research, workshops, and hands-on formulation, I developed a deeper understanding of how thoughtfully sourced, minimally processed ingredients can support the skin in its natural function. What began as a personal pursuit evolved into a clear philosophy — one rooted in simplicity, integrity, and intention.
Seabow Skin was established in 2021 as a reflection of that philosophy. Each product is crafted in small batches using a concise selection of high-quality, legible ingredients. I prioritize organic materials whenever possible and exclusively use cold-pressed oils to preserve their full integrity. Every step of the process is carried out by my own hands, ensuring a level of care and consistency that cannot be replicated by large-scale companies.
In 2023, becoming a mother brought a new depth of meaning to my work. It refined my perspective on what it truly means to care for the body with gentleness and honesty. Among my most meaningful offerings is a local service for mothers — transforming their breast milk into a year’s supply of soap for their babies and families. It is an intimate and intentional process, and one I am deeply honored to provide.
